Bill Payment – Pay Bills
You can pay your Ooredoo (Qtel) bill – Post-paid & Hala top-up and Kahramaa
bill using this module. Ooredoo bills are paid immediately whereas Kahramaa bills
are settled later.
You can use your current / savings / joint account or your child’s (minor) account
to pay the above bill(s), provided they are linked to your Internet / Mobile Banking
user id.
You can visit the nearest MAR branch to place a request for linking your joint &
/ or minor account to your MAR Internet / Mobile Banking user id.
Steps (applicable to both type of bill payments) –
Screen 1 –

Select the ‘Biller Name’ – Kahramaa or Ooredoo
(Qtel).

Select the ‘Bill Type’ – For Kahramaa, it is
by default Kahramaa. For Ooredoo (Qtel), it is either ‘Post-paid’ or ‘Hala Top-Up’.

After selecting the above two parameters; for
Kahramaa, you need to provide the electricity number and for Ooredoo (Qtel), you
need to provide the correct Ooredoo (Qtel) Postpaid or Hala mobile number.
Screen 2 –

You need to provide the ‘bill nick name’. If
you do not wish to save the biller (for the particular electricity / mobile number),
please uncheck the ‘save payee?’ box.

You can select the ‘payment type’ as ‘scheduled’
for payment on a later date. ‘Immediate’ option is selected by default. For ‘scheduled’
bill pay, you need to select the ‘schedule date’ located just below ‘Payment Type’.

You need to provide the ‘Payment Amount’ for
Ooredoo (Qtel) bills only.

You need to select the ‘Account Number’ from
list of accounts appearing on the screen.
·
You will be able to view the minimum / maximum
transaction limit and available daily limit on your screens.
Screen 3 –
You need to verify the final details appearing on the screen. You can press ‘Back’
or ‘Modify’ button to go back to previous screen. If you are ok with the details,
you need to press ‘Continue’.
Confirmation Screen –
MAR will debit the amount immediately from your account giving an Internet / Mobile
Banking reference number along with a reference number generated from the biller,
provided your biller details are correct and you have sufficient balance in your
account to complete the transaction.
You will immediately receive confirmation from MAR about the debit and the same
will appear in your account statement.
FAQs
Question – What is the key difference between a Kahramaa & Ooredoo (Qtel)
Bill Payment via MAR Internet / Mobile Banking?
Answer – A customer can pay any amount (between min & max amount displayed
on the screen) for Ooredoo (Qtel) whereas customer has to pay the exact amount for
Kahramaa. (Hence, Kahramaa bill amount is displayed on the screen & customer
can’t enter it manually whereas amount needs to be entered for Ooredoo / Qtel bill).
Question – What is the significance of biller nick-name?
Answer – All the bills paid via Internet / Mobile banking can be saved for
future payments. The saved biller is assigned a nick-name by the customer as per
his / her convenience to identify it uniquely in MAR Internet / Mobile Banking.
*Note – A nick-name once used can’t be used again provided the old nick-name
biller is deleted from MAR Internet / Mobile Banking.
Question – How can one add a biller from MAR Internet / Mobile Banking?
Answer – Biller can be added via ‘Pay Bills’ option or via ‘Pay Saved Bills
/ Add Biller’ option.

Biller is added via ‘Pay Bills’ option only
when the bill payment transaction is successfully completed, successfully scheduled
for a future date payment.

If biller is added via ‘Pay Saved Bills / Add
Biller’ option, then it is completed when correct login password is entered by the
user.
Question – When a bill can be paid via MAR Internet / Mobile Banking?
Answer – All type of bills can be paid immediately from ‘Pay Bills’
& ‘Pay Saved Bills / Add Biller’ module. All types of bill payment can be scheduled
from ‘Pay Bills’ module only. No bill can paid in a recurring manner.
Question – Can you edit or delete an existing biller?
Answer – Yes. Editing can only be done in the biller’s nick name. No other
biller detail can be edited. An already added biller can be easily deleted by pressing
the (X) option besides the biller’s nick name in ‘Pay Saved Bills / Add Biller’.
