International Fund Transfer - IFT
You can transfer funds to any bank in across the globe using this option. The daily
limit & per transaction limit will be displayed on the 1st / opening
screen.
Requests received before 1:00 pm on a working day will be processed on the same
day (excluding Friday, Saturday & any other holiday declared by Qatar government).
Requests received after 1:00 pm will be processed on the next working day (excluding
Friday, Saturday & any other holiday declared by Qatar government).
All the transfers received after cut off time can be found under ‘Services’ menu
in ‘Future Dated Transactions’. You can cancel / modify these transactions from
here before they get executed on the next working day.
Please note that if you are unable to view any of your accounts (including joint
account) in your MAR Internet Banking, please visit the nearest MAR branch to apply
for linking the non-visible account to your Internet Banking Id (CIF).
To perform this type of transfer on MAR Internet Banking, please refer the following
steps:
Screen 1:
·
Select ‘account to be debited’
for this transaction
·
Select beneficiary group/ name
(If transfer is to be made to a saved beneficiary)
·
Enter the details in other mandatory fields:
Country (Dropdown), Beneficiary Bank, Swift Code, City, Beneficiary Bank Branch,
Beneficiary Name, Account Number, Credit Currency, Amount Detail. In case any mandatory
field detail is not applicable to your transfer, please put NA in the box to proceed.

You will be charged QAR 15 for any fund transfer
outside Qatar.
·
You can save the beneficiary information for
future use by clicking the check box besides ‘Save Beneficiary’. This
would add the beneficiary details to your saved beneficiary list. You
can now transfer to the same beneficiary by going to ‘Transfers’ & selecting
‘Beneficiary Management’. This is a non mandatory step.
·
Enter the email address (multiple email addresses
should be separated by semi-colon) in ‘Notification E-Mails’ where you want to receive
the fund transfer notification. It is a non-mandatory field.
·
If you would like to schedule the
transfer for a later date or set a recurring payment (weekly / monthly / daily),
please provide the required details in Step 5. For further clarification, please
refer to Question 1 available on this page.

If you would like to transfer funds
instantly, select ‘Immediate’ as Transfer Type.
Screen 2:
·
Verify the details on the screen.
Press ‘confirm’ to complete the transaction. In case you want to change the transaction
details, use the ‘Back’ or ‘Modify’ button at the bottom left of the screen. In
case you want to ‘Cancel’ the transaction, press ‘Cancel’ button on the bottom right
of the screen.
Screen 3:

You will either be asked to answer
security question or enter the one time password (OTP) sent on your mobile number
registered with MAR.

In case you forget answer(s) to
your security question & wrongly answer it 3 consecutive times, your account
will be locked. You can avoid this scenario by resetting answer of your security
question(s) [How to reset – Cancel the transaction & log out from your
Internet Banking after 2 consecutive unsuccessful attempts. Reset your security
question(s) from the option available on the login page of MAR Internet Banking].
Screen 4:
(Confirmation Screen)

Your transaction will be sent to
MAR for execution on the same day or next working day (if executed after cut off
time of 1 PM).You will find the transaction reference number on your screen. Please
save the same for any future correspondence with us.

You will receive SMS confirming
the transaction on the mobile number updated with us as & when transaction is
processed by MAR. Alternatively, you can check the balance(s) by viewing the accounts
appearing on the home page by clicking the ‘Home’ button on the top left of the
screen.

You can view the details of this
transaction at a later stage by going to ‘Services’ menu at the top & selecting
‘Internet Transaction Activities’ or by going to ‘Transfer’ menu and selecting ‘Transfer

In case you do not receive SMS
or your transaction is not executed, please refer the above step to view the status
of your transaction & reason of rejection (if any).
Question
– How can I make a ‘scheduled’ or ‘recurring’ fund transfer? Is it applicable to
all types of fund transfer?
Answer
– Yes, all 4 types of fund transfers available on MAR Internet Banking can be made
‘scheduled’ / ‘recurring’. If transfer type is ‘Immediate’, your transfer will be
processed immediately. If it is ‘Scheduled’ or ‘Recurring’, your request will be
will be submitted for processing on the date selected. Please note that your funds
will NOT BE blocked by MAR. If you do not have sufficient balance in your Debit
Account on the transaction execution date, your transaction will be automatically
rejected by system & you will have to place the request again.

All transactions are by default
‘Immediate’. You are required to select ‘Recurring / Scheduled’ from the dropdown
to change the transfer type.

For Recurring transfer,

Please select the Fund Transfer Frequency – Daily / Weekly / Monthly.

For monthly, Day of Month can have any number from 1 to 31. Please
note that if a month has 28 days and you have selected 31 as the banking date, the
banking will take place on the last date of the month i.e. 28th.

Please select ‘Start Date’ & ‘End Date’.
ü
Ex – If ‘Start Date’ is 11-May-2013, ‘End Date’ is 11-July-2013, ‘Fund
Frequency Transfer’ is monthly and ‘Day of Month’ is 31, then transaction will be
executed on 31st May & 30th June, 2013 (provided you have
sufficient balance in your debit account).

For Scheduled Transaction,

Please select the Date. Your transfer will be executed on the selected
date provided you have sufficient balance in your selected Debit Account.

In case you want to ‘cancel’
the above recurring or schedule transaction, please go to ‘Services’ Menu on the
top of the screen & Select ‘Future Dated Transaction’. Select the relevant ‘Account’
& ‘Transaction Type’ from the drop-down & press ‘Display’ on the bottom
right.

All the scheduled / recurring transfers will appear on the screen
with ‘Purpose of Payment / Description’, ‘From Date’ & ‘To Date’ being shown
as a header. Click on the header to get all the required transactions. You can
cancel the transaction(s) by clicking the square box beside each of
them and clicking ‘Delete’ button at the bottom of the screen. You can modify
the transaction by clicking ‘Edit’ button available on right corner
of each transaction.
